Job summary

Vertiv Corporation in Ohio is seeking an Electrical Engineer, DC Power, to advance design of DC power distribution modules, control hardware, and power conversion components. You will execute electrical design tasks, support new product introduction, and sustain existing products across global teams.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, 4+ years in power electronics, and experience with schematic capture, PCB layout, and testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in power electronics or electrical product development.
• Experience with circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB layout.
• Knowledge of power conversion topologies (AC-DC, DC-DC) and power distribution.
• Experience with design verification testing and lab instrumentation.
• Familiarity with UL, NEBS, NEC standards for power equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems for DC power distribution and controllers.
• Support NPI activities including prototype builds and test documentation.
• Perform circuit design, schematic capture, and PCB layout reviews.
• Analyze designs for cost reduction and performance improvements (VAVE).
• Support sustaining activities: ECOs, obsolescence management, field issues.
• Conduct design verification and validation testing and document results.
• Collaborate with global teams on design reviews and issue resolution.
• Provide technical input to Customer Solutions and proposals.
