Job summary

Vertiv in Ohio is seeking an Engineering Intern to support the DC Power Systems team. You will gain hands-on experience in power distribution design for telecom and data centers, working with experienced engineers to learn industry standards and safety practices.

Under supervision, you will assist in design, testing, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration on power infrastructure projects while developing practical skills in DC power systems and ensuring quality output.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Interest in power systems design, particularly in data center or industrial environments.
• Basic understanding of DC power distribution systems and electrical fundamentals.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality output.
• Strong collaboration and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Learning & Development: Demonstrate eagerness to grow personally and professionally.
• Technical Support: Assist in the design and development of DC power distribution architectures under supervision of experienced engineers.
• Laboratory Testing: Support laboratory testing activities including setup, data collection, and analysis of DC power systems and components.
• Documentation & Analysis: Support the creation of technical layouts, presentations, and documentation for internal teams and customers.
• Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams on power infrastructure projects, linking own responsibilities to team goals and objectives.
• Time & Resource Management: Manage time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently.
• Project Support: Support effective and efficient completion of projects by planning and implementing courses of action with other functions and key stakeholders.
• Additional Duties: Perform other essential and related peripheral duties as may be assigned.
