Job summary

Vertiv is seeking a Project Engineer to support new product development and sustaining efforts for Global Rack Power Distribution products within IT Systems. The role drives development projects, defines design steps, maintains timelines, and collaborates with suppliers in a matrix environment.

The successful candidate will apply multi-disciplinary engineering expertise, manage BOMs, and work with procurement to set up new components, ensuring cost targets and schedules are met across global

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Electronic or Mechanical Engineering with design/development experience.
5+ years of engineering design or product development experience.
Experience with electromechanical systems and CAD is a plus.

Responsibilities

Define project engineering scope and assumptions.
Prepare project schedule and track milestones with the project manager.
Generate work estimates, timelines, and cost estimates for projects.
Develop solutions to complex problems where little precedence exists.
Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, and process engineering, and production teams.
Work with manufacturing engineers to build prototypes and provide direction.
Write, submit, and release engineering changes in the PLM system.
