DC Plan Administrator / Consultant (100% Remote)

About the Role
We\'re looking for an experienced DC Plan Administrator/Consultant to serve as the primary point of contact for an assigned book of qualified plan clients. This is a senior-level individual contributor role for a technically strong, detail-oriented professional who enjoys owning client relationships and the quality of their work. If you\'ve handled full A-to-Z administration at a TPA and can explain complex concepts clearly to sponsors, advisors, and CPAs, we\'d love to hear from you.
What You\'ll Do
- Serve as the main contact for your clients, including plan sponsors, financial advisors, CPAs, and recordkeeping partners
- Handle full-cycle annual administration, from census review and eligibility determination through valuation, testing, and year-end deliverables
- Scrub and reconcile census data to ensure accurate testing and valuations
- Perform annual compliance and nondiscrimination testing, including ADP/ACP, 401(a)(4), 410(b), top-heavy, 402(g), and 415
- Calculate employer contributions across allocation methods, including pro-rata, permitted disparity, and new comparability/cross-testing
- Prepare and file Form 5500 and related schedules, coordinating with independent auditors on large plan filings
- Prepare valuations, benefit statements, and participant account reporting
- Review loan and distribution requests, including hardships, RMDs, and QDROs, for compliance with plan documents and the Code
- Interpret plan documents and review amendments and restatements, working with legal and internal teams as needed
- Identify operational failures and recommend corrections through EPCRS, including SCP and VCP
- Assist clients with plan terminations and related compliance
- Provide required participant notices and disclosures, such as safe harbor notices, SARs, fee disclosures, and blackout notices
- Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and advise clients proactively on needed plan changes
- Manage your workflow and meet regulatory filing deadlines consistently
What You Bring
- Required: At least 2 years of full A-to-Z retirement plan administration experience
- Proficiency in ADP/ACP, 401(a)(4), 410(b), and top-heavy testing, and in employer contribution allocation methods
- Working knowledge of ERISA, IRS, and DOL regulations governing qualified plans
- Experience preparing and filing Form 5500 and related schedules
- Strong plan document reading and application skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication with sponsors, advisors, and CPAs
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Office suite
- A fully functioning remote work setup
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Preferred
- Experience with FTWilliam or PensionPro
- Experience administering defined benefit or cash balance combo plans
- Experience with MEP, PEP, or 403(b) plans
- Experience with audited large plan administration
