Job summary

Lowe's Companies, Inc. is seeking a warehouse operations leader to oversee safety, staffing, and productivity on a Friday-Sunday shift from 5am-5:30pm. You will ensure safe work practices, manage daily workload, and drive process improvements across receiving, picking, and shipping.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field or 4 years in distribution center operations, with strong communication and leadership skills to mentor teams and ensure safe and efficient operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR 4 years of DC/warehouse ops experience.
Basic math and reading comprehension.
Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office.
Proven record of complying with safety requirements.
Experience building a culture of safety among subordinates and peers.

Responsibilities

Ensure safety practices are understood and executed through observations and discussions.
Identify and resolve floor safety issues and notify the appropriate party.
Determine daily workload for department.
Monitor inventory flow throughout the shift.
Expedite receiving, picking and shipping of priority product.
Research and resolve pick/ship errors and address root causes.
Train associates on equipment and procedures; document proficiency.
Complete incident reports for damage, near misses, injuries, and equipment incidents.
Identify and implement operations improvements and new processes from SSC.
Monitor staffing needs and adjust work to available resources.
Conduct shift briefings and turnover documentation.
Communicate business objectives and issues to associates.
Drive productivity improvements through coaching and process enhancements.
Approve off-standard hours with accurate performance accounting.
Set clear expectations and provide feedback.
Provide developmental opportunities and prepare for upward promotion.
Foster engagement and inclusion.
Participate in hiring processes for the team.
Train new hires and existing staff on processes.
