Lowe’s Companies, Inc. seeks an Operations Leadership role focused on safety, staffing, and performance for its distribution center operations in the United States.

You will lead safety programs, manage daily workload and resources with Supervisors, and drive continuous improvements across shifts and cross-functional partners to meet demand and budgets. The role emphasizes mentoring, change leadership, and delivering measurable performance while fostering a culture of safety and accountability

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in supply chain-related field or leadership track record.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience allowed.
• 3 years experience in distribution center operations or related area with increasing responsibilities
• 7 years experience in distribution center/warehouse operations with increasing responsibilities if education requirement not met
• Leadership experience with direct report responsibility, including leading salary level direct reports
• Experience mentoring and coaching others
• Experience leading a team through change
• Experience managing resources, time, and budget
• Experience using troubleshooting processes to resolve problems
• Experience taking a lead role in a Corporate-led initiative or leadership experience in another Lowe’s supply chain network facility
• Experience leading others through change

Responsibilities

• Identifies and resolves safety issues on the floor and notifies the appropriate party for resolution.
• Addresses safety issues or trends escalated from inbound/outbound Operations Supervisors.
• Completes safety observations and builds a culture of safety in the work environment by driving the message through supervision.
• Partners with corporate and support functions to determine daily workload for the day and monitor inventory movements.
• Evaluates staffing needs to meet daily demand with Operations Supervisors to allocate resources and meet daily priorities.
• Provides inspired leadership for the organization and promotes high performance and morale.
• Onboards and trains supervisors overseeing performance and coaching of supervisors.
• Communicates with inbound/outbound Operations Supervisors regarding objectives, issues, events, and demand for the day.
• Reports on key performance metrics to upper management and Store Support Center (SSC).
• Sets Supervisors up for success to achieve or exceed key performance indicators, safety, performance, and budget targets.
• Collaborates with other shifts to ensure consistent processes and expectations.
• Collaborates cross-functionally with Support Managers to ensure staffing plans meet customers’ needs.
• Identifies and acts on needs for efficient operations, safety issues, and bottlenecks.
• Reports on key performance and financial figures to upper management and SSC.
• Responsible for key operations performance metrics of the shift.
• Identifies and assists in implementing process improvements or new processes launched from SSC.
• Attracts and hires talented individuals for the team, including Supervisors and Team Members.
• Sets goals and provides timely feedback to associates; monitors performance and accountability.
• Provides resources and support to associates as needed.
• Assists Supervisors with issues needing resolution from management and keeps associates informed of business objectives.
• Provides developmental opportunities and upward promotion paths where applicable.
• Sponsors and leads associates through change.
