Job summary

Advance Auto Parts Inc. seeks a DC Operations Manager to ensure a steady talent pipeline and sustain growth by attracting, retaining, and developing team members. The role operates with limited supervision in a; fast-paced distribution environment.

The position oversees a 150+ member department, driving staffing, budgeting, and P&L while partnering with senior leadership to improve efficiency and safety. A bilingual candidate is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years leadership experience in a warehouse or distribution center.
• Experience in material handling and inventory tracking.
• Ability to provide work direction to teammates.

Responsibilities

• Regularly meet with the General Manager to discuss methods, procedures, controls, and staffing to achieve accurate and timely movement of product.
• Direct responsibility for a DC department (Inbound and/or Outbound) with 150+ team members, including budgeting, P&L, and staffing.
• Partner with the GM/AGM to drive continuous improvement and maximize efficiency gains to reduce costs; maintain strong relationships with management and corporate partners.
• Coach, train, and develop management team with on-floor coaching and formal evaluations.
• Conduct start-up meetings with Department Managers to discuss daily results and staffing needs.
• Monitor safety procedures and ensure PPE usage.
