Job summary

NDC, Inc. in La Vergne, TN seeks a Manager, Operations to lead the 1st shift of its Master Distribution operation, supervising 70 staff including 3 supervisors and 1 trainer. Responsibilities cover receiving, putaway, picking, packing, and shipping while driving safety, customer experience, and regulatory compliance.

This role partners with stakeholders to improve efficiency, sustain quality management systems (ISO 9001) and maintain a positive, high-performing culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years experience in a distribution center with progressive responsibilities, including 5+ years leading people.
• Experience in healthcare/medical/pharmaceutical distribution is preferred.
• Proven ability to use metrics to deliver results in labor productivity, customer experience, quality and safety.
• Ability to build a high-performing team through coaching and development of associates.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, a warehouse management system (WMS) and an ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Achieve safety, customer experience, quality, cost, continuous improvement, talent management, compliance and inventory accuracy objectives; review metrics and leading indicators; analyze variances and implement corrective actions.
• Understand new customer requirements and ensure resources, processes, IT enablement and metrics are in place to execute flawlessly.
• Develop and empower team through ongoing coaching and performance management.
• Lead the distribution center associates, partner with stakeholders, and manage customer relationships with a positive approach.
• Champion continuous improvement and drive opportunities across the DC and company.
• Maintain OSHA safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance (FDA) and ISO 9001 standards.
• Ensure physical condition of the DC and equipment is well maintained.
