Job summary

Covetrus, a global animal-health technology and services leader, seeks a Distribution Center Manager in Lexington, KY. You will plan and direct all DC activities—receiving, storing, shipping, and returns—while leading a small team in a climate-controlled environment with minimal weekend work.

Responsibilities include directing daily schedules, coaching leaders, managing drivers, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, and collaborating with Sales/Purchasing to optimize customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field (or equivalent).
• Minimum of five years’ warehousing management/supervisory experience with personnel management.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience with a pharmacy/pharmaceutical wholesaler/distributor.
• Experience managing teams of 10+ associates.
• Six Sigma/Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred; forklift certification preferred or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Directs and oversees daily receiving and shipping to meet timelines.
• Coaches and develops DC leaders (Inbound/Outbound/Inventory) and sets deadlines.
• Oversees delivery service operations, including driver scheduling and regulatory reporting.
• Maintains safe, efficient work environment and adheres to procedures and safety education.
• Collaborates with Sales, Purchasing and other partners to exceed customer expectations.
• Ensures accurate records, government reports, and inventory integrity.
• Manages sanitation, tool/equipment care and proper disposal of damaged freight.
• Maintains professional relationships with customers, vendors, and coworkers.
• Develops communication processes between DC and company personnel.
• Oversees returns processing and inventory reconciliations.
• Controls operating expenditures and supports annual budget planning.
