Job summary

Covetrus is seeking a Distribution Center Manager at our Colonial Heights, VA location to plan and direct all distribution activities, including receiving, storing, shipping, and returns. You will lead a small, climate-controlled team, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely customer service while maintaining strong internal partnerships.

You will participate in budget development and operational improvements, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and employee development to keep our customers

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, in Operations, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years warehousing management/supervisory experience.
• Minimum 3 years in pharmacy or pharmaceutical wholesaler/distributor.
• Experience managing teams of 10+.
• Green Belt or Lean Six Sigma preferred.
• Forklift Certification preferred; ability to obtain certification.
• Must meet any licensing board requirements.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee distribution operations including receiving, storing, shipping, and returns.
• Coach and develop DC leaders; assign work, set deadlines, and monitor performance.
• Schedule drivers, ensure timely deliveries and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain safe, productive work environment and pay-for-performance system.
• Collaborate with Sales, Purchasing, and other partners to exceed customer expectations.
• Ensure timely processing of records, reports, and government filings.
• Oversee inventory accuracy with cycle counts and adjustments.
• Manage DC expenditures within budget and optimize layout of the center.
