Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking an experienced Distribution Center Area Supervisor to lead staff in the timely processing and distribution of merchandise to stores. The role emphasizes accurate records, coaching, and resolving day-to-day and long-term issues within a demanding warehouse environment.

Qualified candidates will have 5–8 years of management experience in retail distribution, strong planning skills, excellent interpersonal abilities, and a preference for bilingual applicants.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years management experience in a similar retail production/distribution environment.
• Strong planning and organizational skills are necessary.
• Excellent interpersonal skills are required.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead staff to ensure timely and accurate processing and distribution of merchandise to stores.
• Maintain accuracy and integrity of production records, reports and numbers.
• Coach Area Supervisors to reach productivity goals.
• Troubleshoot day-to-day problems and plan long-term resolutions.
• Provide operational guidance in organizing and prioritizing daily work and staffing needs to meet production goals.
• Maintain an issue-free, productive team culture.
• Oversee administrative tasks for the responsible department.
• Collaborate with HR on reviews, hiring, terminations, and corrective counseling.
• Interface with senior DC leadership on planning and staffing.
• Attend daily shift production meetings to report volumes and issues.
