Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. operates a DC facility in Lancaster, California, seeking a non-technical maintenance support role. You will perform battery changes, cleaning, and basic preventative maintenance, coordinating with the Facilities Maintenance team.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of related experience, with emphasis on safety, time management, and independent work. Roles involve lifting and operating powered equipment in a warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalency preferred; additional relevant training is a plus.
• 1+ years of comparable experience preferred, demonstrating relevant skills and abilities
• Ability to perform frequent lifting and carrying of 5–60 pounds and operate powered equipment

Responsibilities

• Performs battery changes as required.
• Collects trash, cardboard, and shrinkwrap for disposal and housekeeping.
• Operates the Sweeper/Scrubber to clean aisles and work areas, coordinating with workflow.
• Assists Facilities Technicians in preventative maintenance, installation, and repair of powered equipment.
• Completes preventative maintenance on sweeper/scrubber, bailer systems, and dock levelers.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
