Job summary

Burlington Stores is seeking an Inventory Control Manager for its Distribution Center to lead teams in inventory accuracy, cycle counting, shrink analysis, and financial reporting. You will drive month-end closes, SOX compliance, and system enhancements while partnering with Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain.

The role requires 5+ years in a high-volume distribution environment, with strong analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills, and proficiency in Microsoft tools and inventory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience.
• 5+ years’ experience leading in a high-volume distribution environment.
• Ability to analyze results, develop conclusions, and implement strategies.
• Proficient with Microsoft applications (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, Visio, Power Point).
• Knowledge of Inventory applications (i.e. WMS / Manhattan, Synapse, Oracle, CMS, Dematic) preferred.
• Knowledge of SQL Developer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the activities, task priorities, work assignments, staffing and equipment resources for the Inventory Control, Cycle Count, Accuracy & Compliance, and Inventory Research teams.
• Coordinate and manage the month end and year-end inventory processes and financial accruals for the distribution centers.
• Safeguard assets and ensure accurate valuation of inventory through investigations and root cause analysis.
• Report and monitor inventory shrinkage against annual goals and partner with operations to meet objectives.
• Establish and maintain best practices related to inventory control and create SOPs.
• Partner with Finance and Operations to resolve vendor payment issues.
• Coordinate and communicate inventory adjustments related to receiving errors.
• Develop and monitor KPIs, internal controls and audit readiness for SOX controls.
• Provision/de-provision user access and perform access reviews for security compliance.
• Oversee fulfillment and shipments to charitable organizations with Marketing, Buying and Allocations.
• Participate in Disaster Recovery for inventory loss and coordination of related actions.
• Manage hiring, training, coaching, and performance management; supervise department budget.
