Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. seeks a detail-oriented Inventory Control Analyst to strengthen accuracy across DCs and warehouses. The role partners with Finance, Buyers, and Operations on multi-facility initiatives and SOX compliance, driving process improvements and cost savings.

The position requires analytical skills, WMS experience, and the ability to travel to multiple distribution centers. A BA/BS is preferred, with strong Excel and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• BA / BS preferred
• Ability to become certified on DC equipment as needed
• 1+ year Analyst, Inspection, Inventory Control or related distribution center / retail experience preferred
• Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management System) and sortation system (Dematic) preferred
• Experience in a high-volume distribution environment preferred
• Computer Proficiency with experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attention to detail and follow-through skills
• Excellent math and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a high-performance team
• Ability to remain flexible to shifting priorities

Responsibilities

• Develops knowledge of internal department SOPs and best practices
• Ensure operational members follow SOPs
• Perform audits and root cause analyses affecting inventory
• Communicate recommendations to management across the Supply Chain
• Collaborate with IT, DC Ops, Finance, and other groups for research
• Analyze systemic and operational issues to prevent asset loss
• Support inventory movement projects and cost-saving initiatives
• Monitor key reports related to inventory transactions
• Cross-train on operational procedures
• Interact confidently with management levels
• Complete timely inventory adjustments
• Audit and research receiving errors to reduce shrink
