Job summary

Teradyne, a global test and automation leader, seeks an experienced power/electrical engineer to design and own high-performance DC instrumentation used in automated test equipment. The role covers architecture, fast transient control, and precision analog for 4-quadrant sources and measurements.

You will collaborate across firmware, software, calibration, and manufacturing engineering, ensuring robust, compliant hardware from concept to production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
• Six+ years in power electronics, precision analog, source-measure, or instrumentation hardware design.
• Experience owning a board from architecture through production release.
• Strong knowledge of regulation, power-stage design, feedback, and PDNs.

Responsibilities

• Design and own the board architecture, including tradeoffs in accuracy, transient response, and cost.
• Architect DC sourcing and measurement circuits from microamps to >100 A.
• Develop fast-response forcing, droop control, and power distribution schemes.
• Lead schematic capture, component selection, and multilayer PCB layout.
• Mentor engineers and guide vendors across programs.
