Job summary

The candidate will drive projects from concept to production, collaborate cross-functionally with firmware, software, and mechanical engineers, and ensure high-quality, reliable test instruments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on hardware engineering with digital circuit design.
• 3+ years in a leadership role, player/coach preferred.
• Solid knowledge of electrical principles, circuit design, and signal integrity.
• Experience with debugging tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters).
• Familiarity with standards for hardware design, testing, QA.
• Strong communication and collaboration across teams.
• Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with high-speed PCB and SERDES (PCIe, 100G Ethernet).

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of hardware engineers, providing technical guidance and architectural direction.
• Oversee hardware development from concept to production, ensuring timelines and quality.
• Collaborate with firmware, software, and mechanical engineering to align project goals.
• Provide regular updates to senior management on status, risks, and mitigations.
• Collaborate on schedule development and resource planning for timely delivery.
• Identify areas for improvement in hardware design and manufacturing processes.
• Stay current with emerging hardware technologies and apply to improve capabilities.
• Ensure products meet customer requirements and regulatory standards.
• Troubleshoot hardware issues in collaboration with QA and operations.
