Designer Brands in New Jersey seeks an experienced DC Area Manager for the 1st shift to oversee distribution center operations, including receiving, putaway, order processing, shipping, and inventory control. This front-line leader will coach 15–20 associates, coordinate with facilities, and drive process improvements to meet daily execution standards while ensuring safety and quality.

Combined 4+ years in supervisor and management level positions overseeing 15+ associates in a distribution center.
Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems.

Responsibilities

Oversee subordinates and multiple activities within a department and/or shift (Receiving, Case Pick/Putaway, Case Loops, Order Processing, Shipping, Ship Sort, Inventory Control, Wave Management).
Coach and train department leaders and provide ongoing coaching to ensure policy adherence and performance standards.
Coordinate with Facilities Manager on safety, security, and building control activities.
Manage transaction activities, exceptions, planning, and distribution flow.
Prioritize and monitor order completion to meet deadlines.
Track productivity to meet company standards and projections.
Communicate with internal/external customers regarding operations and issue resolutions.
Build relationships across distribution center functions and with vendors.
