Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in New York is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced, collaborative team. This full-time role requires flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays.

You will triage and obtain patient histories, place IVs and advanced catheters, monitor ventilator cases, and work alongside skilled technicians to deliver exceptional veterinary care. A passion for mentoring others is valued.

Qualifications

• CPR and triage skills required.
• Ability to obtain patient history and assess urgency.
• Experience with critical care is a plus.

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 / hour

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency leveling system.

We are hiring an exceptional Veterinary Technician to join our team. If you enjoy patient care and working in a fast-paced, challenging, interesting, and collaborative environment, this is a full-time position that requires flexibility to work nights and weekends and holidays.

As a Veterinary Technician , you will:

• Triage and obtain patient history
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR
• Place IVC's and advanced catheters like Jugular catheters, Central Lines or PICC lines.
• Monitor and care for Ventilator Cases
• Work alongside other skilled technicians and assistants in providing excellent, advanced medicine to your patients
• Have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers.
• Feel gratification of nursing critically ill patients back to health and reunite them with their pet parents
