Midwest Heart & Vascular Specialists, part of HCA Healthcare, is hiring a Surgery Scheduler for a full-time, day-shift role. The position involves obtaining CPT/ICD-10 codes, coordinating OR time, and ensuring required medical records and equipment are ready for procedures.

You will verify physician credentialing and support coordinated clinic and facility scheduling. The role emphasizes compliance with HIPAA and the HCA Code of Conduct, with tasks that avoid after-hours work and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a medical office setting.
• High school degree preferred.
• BLS may be required as per practice standard.

Responsibilities

• Obtains CPT and ICD-10 codes and other clinical information for treatment from practice staff.
• Determines OR time and coordinates with Facility to schedule procedures and anesthesia coverage.
• Verifies physician credentialing at the Center/Facility before scheduling.
• Coordinates provider clinic and facility schedules, including meetings and education.
• Supports HIPAA compliance and HCA Code of Conduct.
