Lillian’s Petite Market & Eatery in Charleston, SC is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to lead breakfast and lunch service, educate and mentor kitchen staff, and support catering orders. You’ll partner closely with Executive Chef Todd Garrigan to ensure quality and teamwork.

The position offers a daytime schedule, opportunities for growth, and a chance to contribute to menu development while working with local ingredients and a collaborative team.

Qualificações

• At least two years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a comparable kitchen leadership role.
• Strong cooking fundamentals and sound judgment during busy service.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and reliable follow-through.
• A respectful leadership style and a willingness to teach and learn.
• An interest in local ingredients and the people who produce them.
• Availability for early mornings, weekends, and catering needs.

Responsabilidades

• Lead breakfast and lunch preparation and service, maintaining quality and consistency.
• Work alongside Chef Garrigan during two brunch shifts.
• Help plan, prepare, and execute catering orders while keeping daily restaurant service running smoothly.
• Contribute ideas for dishes, specials, and catering menus.
• Train and support cooks with clear direction and practical teaching.
• Manage prep lists, ordering, inventory, ingredient rotation, and waste.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety.
• Communicate with the service team about daily changes, dietary needs, and guest requests.
