Job summary

CompuCycle in Houston is seeking a Shipping Clerk to join our warehouse team. You will prepare outgoing shipments, verify orders, and ensure items are packed, labeled, and shipped accurately and on time.

You'll greet walk-in customers, assist with pickups, and support fast-paced operations. The ideal candidate has customer service experience, basic computing skills, and the physical stamina to handle warehouse tasks.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing communication and service skills.
• Previous shipping clerk, warehouse, or customer service experience preferred.
• Stamina for standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist walk-in customers; provide friendly service.
• Prepare shipments; pack items securely for domestic and international shipping.
• Generate labels and BOL; maintain tracking records in shipping software.
• Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and damages.
• Coordinate carrier pickups with UPS, FedEx, DHL, and freight carriers.
• Monitor packing supplies and report shortages to management.
• Keep packing/shipping areas clean and compliant with safety rules.
