Job summary

CompuCycle Inc. is seeking a Shipping Clerk to join our warehouse team. You will prepare outgoing shipments, verify orders, and ensure goods are packed, labeled, and shipped accurately and on time.

You will also greet walk-in customers and assist with pickups, thriving in a fast-paced environment that requires physical activity and strong customer service skills. Monday through Friday schedule applies; no weekends.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing experience with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Previous shipping clerk, warehouse, or customer service role preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a temperature-fluctuating warehouse.
• Reliable schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
• Basic computer literacy to navigate shipping software and emails.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service & Walk-Ins: Greet and assist walk-in customers.
• Prepare Shipments: Pull items, pack, and prepare packages for domestic and international shipping.
• Documentation & Labeling: Generate shipping labels, bill of lading (BOL), and tracking records.
• Quality Control: Inspect outgoing shipments for accuracy and damages.
• Carrier Coordination: Schedule pickups with freight carriers (UPS, FedEx, DHL, LTL).
• Inventory & Supplies: Monitor shipping supplies and report shortages.
• Warehouse Maintenance: Keep areas clean, organized, and safe.
