Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise student activities during school hours (arrival/dismissal).
• Maintain a safe environment by monitoring student interactions and behaviors.
• Reports inappropriate student behavior to staff members.
• Reports suspicious or strange behaviors from anyone in the area.
• Serve as an extra set of eyes on the playground during recess.

Job Skills / Requirements

Requirements of Daytime School Support:

• No Experience, No Problem!
• Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach and lift up to 25 pounds
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and safety related materials
• Ability to retain proper student & staff boundaries
• This position requires completely clean criminal history with no felony convictions. Applicants will be required to undergo fingerprint background check.

Recess Aide Responsibilities:

These hours are performed during school hours!! Automatic $0.50 increase after 60 days.

• Monitor and supervise student activities as necessary during the times requested, such as arrival and dismissal times
• Maintain a safe environment by monitoring student interactions and behaviors
• Reports inappropriate student behavior to staff members
• Reports suspicious or strange behaviors from anyone in the area
• Critical role as an extra set of eyes on the playground during student recess
