Job summary

UPMC Home Health is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist Assistant to support Beaver and surrounding areas. The role is daylight Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:30 PM, providing high-quality PTA services under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist.

The PTA must be licensed or eligible in Pennsylvania, with strong documentation, communication, and patient-education skills to enhance home health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an PTA program that is CAPTE-accredited.
• Licensed or eligible as a PTA in the state of practice.
• Possession of Basic Life Support/CPR.
• 2+ years PTA experience preferred.
• Strong documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement PTA-recommended treatments and plans of care.
• Observe patients and report progress or changes.
• Educate patients and families with clear, culturally sensitive methods.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care.
• Collaborate with care team to optimize patient outcomes.
• Adhere to infection control and safety standards.
• Participate in meetings and required education.
• Uphold patient rights, confidentiality, and agency ethics.
• Promote patient satisfaction and positive relations.
