Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management in Kirkwood, MO, is seeking an Activity/Recreation Assistant to support the Activity/Recreation Director in assessing, selecting, organizing, and implementing activity and recreational services for the center's patient population.

You will help develop and deliver programs to promote participation in arts, crafts, outings, educational activities, and community service, encouraging involvement and maintaining patient safety and engagement. Hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Qualifications

• Experience in leading recreational activities or related programs is preferred.
• Ability to organize and supervise activities for diverse patient populations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assists in developing and delivering activity/recreational programs for patient engagement and daily living.
• Maintains precautions/limitations list on each patient.
• Encourages participation in group and individual activities such as arts/crafts, outings, religious activities, educational activities, and community service.
• Performs miscellaneous work as required.
