Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.
Certificate 1 Medical Assistant Certificate required.
1-3 years related work experience required.
Experience with computer systems including web-based applications and Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access.

Responsibilities

Greets patients and serves as a communication resource; collects information accurately.
Obtains vitals, weight, blood pressure, pulse and temperature; assists providers and performs basic procedures.
Ensures access to x-rays, lab slips, medical records, and other pertinent info; maintains documentation.
Adds new medications to patient records in the EMR; assembles records per policy and handles requests per guidelines.
Identifies opportunities to improve resources and participates in practice improvement initiatives.
