Job summary

HomeGrown is seeking a Line Cook to join our daytime Eatery, responsible for prep and cook station, following recipes and maintaining high standards for presentation and pace in a high-volume kitchen.

You'll learn all kitchen roles, work with a friendly team, enjoy an early finish around 3:30 pm, and benefit from paid time off and health benefits for full-time team members.

Qualifications

• A positive attitude and desire to learn and grow.
• Reading, writing and verbal communication skills required.
• Ability to follow recipes exactly as written.
• Ability to work fast, safe, efficient, and accurately for periods of up to 10 hours per day.
• Mobility required during the entire shift.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to HomeGrown's Recipes, Plate Presentations and specifications (60%*).
• Complete all assigned prep work, following recipes exactly as written (15%*).
• Set up workstation (5%*).
• Practice sanitary and safe food handling at all times (10%*).
• Clean and sanitize the work area before, during and after shift (5%*).
• Complete assigned daily and weekly cleaning projects (5%*).
