Greater Austin YMCA is hiring Lifeguards with daytime availability to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for members at multiple locations. The role requires certified lifeguards, CPR/AED/First Aid, and oxygen administration, with a commitment to 10 hours per week between 5:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

In addition to safety duties, you will assist with swim lessons, maintain pool cleanliness, and model YMCA values. A free YMCA membership is included as part of the position.

Competenze

• Lifeguard certification from YMCA or Red Cross required.
• CPR/AED, First Aid, and Oxygen administration certifications required.
• Strong swimming skills and ability to perform rescues.

Mansioni

• Monitor pool areas proactively and enforce safety rules.
• Respond to emergencies with first aid and CPR.
• Identify hazards and report issues to maintain a safe environment.
• Inspect pool equipment and facilities for safe operation.
• Inform members about pool rules and safety procedures.
• Assist with swim lessons and aquatics programs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of pool areas and locker rooms.
• Attend trainings and staff meetings to stay updated on safety procedures.
• Demonstrate YMCA values in all interactions.
• Serve as a YMCA ambassador and promote the Y's culture.
• Assist with any other tasks to support the team.
