Job summary

Lunchtime Solutions, Inc is seeking a dependable Head Cook to join our school food service program. You will lead daily food production, ensure safety and cleanliness, and assist with ordering and training in a Monday–Friday daytime schedule.

Qualifications include a HS diploma or GED and 1 year of cooking experience. You will need physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs and work well with students and staff in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED preferred.
• 1 year of cooking experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform frequent physical tasks.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to follow recipes and convert quantities for large batches.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily food production by preparing high-quality meals and following recipes.
• Keep the kitchen organized and compliant, FIFO storage, HACCP logs, production records and inventories.
• Support food safety by monitoring safe practices and maintaining a healthy workspace.
• Assist with ordering, stocking, prep lists, freezer pulls and serving during meal times.
• Help train team members and fill in for other kitchen duties when needed.
