Job summary

S”P Richards Company is seeking a Daytime Driver in Lithia Springs, GA. The role entails safe, timely delivery and retrieval of office products on day routes, requiring a Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement and adherence to DOT/FMCSA regulations.

You will manage PODs, Hours-of-Service, and hazardous materials handling while delivering excellent customer service. The position requires driving within daily routes, lifting up to 70 lbs, and maintaining vehicle and paperwork responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with active HazMat endorsement.
• Minimum 1 year of verifiable Class A CDL driving experience within the past 3 years.
• MVR: no more than 2 violations in the last 3 years; no DUI/DWI in the last 5 years.
• Must reside within 60 miles of the distribution center; must communicate in English (read/write/speak) per FMCSA.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. and move heavier loads with equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT-mandated pre- and post-trip inspections of the assigned vehicle.
• Safely drive and deliver products on established day routes, meeting scheduled delivery and pickup times.
• Verify orders, maintain Proof of Delivery (POD), and Hours-of-Service records using the company's ELD and mobile tech.
• Safely transport and deliver hazardous materials in compliance with regulations and company policies.
• Load/unload products with pallet jacks, dollies, or by hand.
• Retrieve returns and complete paperwork accurately.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform light maintenance.
• Deliver professional, courteous service and uphold safety standards.
