Job summary

S.P. Richards Company in Orlando, FL is seeking a Daytime Driver to safely deliver and retrieve office products on daytime routes from our Orlando distribution center. The role requires a valid Class A CDL with HAZMAT endorsement, adherence to DOT regulations, and strong customer service.

You will inspect vehicles, manage PODs, and handle hazardous materials as needed. This position offers full-time employment with the opportunity to contribute to on-time deliveries and maintain high safety

Qualifications

Valid Class A CDL with active HAZMAT endorsement.
Minimum 1 year of verifiable Class A CDL driving experience within the past 3 years.
MVR: No more than 2 violations in the last 3 years.
No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years.
Must reside within 60 miles of the distribution center.
Must communicate in English per FMCSA requirements.
Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. and move heavier loads with equipment.

Responsibilities

Perform DOT-mandated pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
Safely drive and deliver products on day routes, meeting scheduled delivery and pickup times.
Verify orders, maintain POD, and hours-of-service records using the ELD and other mobile technology.
Safely transport hazardous materials in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
Load/unload products with pallet jacks, dollies, or by hand.
Retrieve returns and complete paperwork accurately.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform light maintenance.
Deliver professional, courteous service and uphold safety standards.
