Job summary

S.P. Richards Company is seeking a Daytime Driver in Carol Stream, IL to safely deliver and retrieve office products on scheduled day routes.

A valid Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement and DOT compliance are required, with strong customer service skills and reliable performance. Responsibilities include inspecting vehicles, on-time deliveries, POD and Hours-of-Service records using ELD, and handling hazardous materials in accordance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with active HAZMAT endorsement.
• Must pass TSA security threat assessment and renewal.
• At least 1 year of verifiable Class A CDL driving experience in the past 3 years.
• MVR: No more than 2 violations in the last 3 years.
• No DUI/DWI in the last 5 years.
• Must reside within 60 miles of the distribution center.
• Must communicate in English (read, write, and speak).
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. and move heavier loads with equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT-mandated pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle.
• Safely drive and deliver products on established day routes and meet delivery times.
• Verify orders, maintain POD, and Hours-of-Service records using ELD and other mobile tech.
• Safely transport hazardous materials in compliance with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Load/unload products with pallet jacks, dollies, or by hand.
• Retrieve returns and complete paperwork accurately.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and perform light maintenance.
• Deliver professional, courteous service and uphold safety standards.
