Job summary

Freshpet is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations in Texas, ensuring high quality and profitability. You will lead a safety-focused team, monitor workflows, and drive efficiency in a 12-hour day shift on a 2/2/3 schedule.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (preferred) and at least 3 years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing, with strong analytical and communication skills. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
• Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment; preferably in a food manufacturing facility.
• Strong analytical, written/verbal communications, interpersonal skills and the ability to work well across all levels of the organization.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; especially excel.
• Knowledge of time and attendance systems.
• Familiarity with Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
• Experience implementing SQF programs preferred.
• Strong understanding of the sanitation process in a food manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor production operations and ensure maximum quality and profitability.
• Analyze workflows, organize tasks and assess manufacturing efficiency.
• Lead and develop the production team, and ensure safety and compliance with standards.
• Review production records for accuracy and maintain proper documentation.
• Ensure sanitation, housekeeping and cleanliness meet quality standards.
• Ensure OSHA, GMPs and food safety compliance for operations.
• Coordinate labor, schedule vacations, and manage overtime and timekeeping.
• Drive continuous improvement and lead team training and orientation.
