Job summary

Freshpet is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee day‑to‑day manufacturing operations, ensuring top quality and profitability while leading a safety‑conscious team on a 12‑hour dayshift. You will monitor production, organize workflows, analyze efficiency, and enforce GMPs, food safety, and SQF standards across the facility.

This role requires at least 3 years of supervisory experience in food manufacturing, strong communication, and the ability to drive continuous improvement with HR

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
• Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical, written/verbal communications, interpersonal skills and the ability to work well across all levels of the organization.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; especially excel
• Knowledge of time and attendance systems
• Familiarity with Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing techniques
• Experience implementing SQF programs preferred
• Strong understanding of the sanitation process in a food manufacturing facility.

Responsibilities

• Lead production and ensure safety of team members.
• Facilitate daily/weekly production to meet efficiency and quality standards.
• Manage production goals in a safe, cost-effective and compliant manner.
• Review production records for accuracy and maintain documentation.
• Ensure sanitation, housekeeping and facility cleanliness meet quality standards.
• Ensure OSHA and environmental regulation compliance and GMPs.
• Analyze labor efficiencies and allocations to meet demand; manage timekeeping and vacations.
• Develop reports and coach direct reports toward improved performance.
• Lead training and orientation for team members and drive continuous improvement.
