Job summary

Inspire Early Education is hiring a Cook to manage daily food preparation across our daycare centers. You will cook, bake, and assemble meals and snacks for children, including those with special dietary needs, while ensuring safe storage and proper portioning.

You’ll handle weekly ordering, monitor inventory, and keep logs for temperatures and allergy lists. The role requires a high school diploma, a valid license, and an up-to-date food handler certificate, with a dedication to teamwork and

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Food handler certification or willingness to obtain.
• Clear background checks and health assessments.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for cooking, baking, and food prep.

What You’ll Do

• Responsible for cooking, baking, and food preparation
• Ensure safe food storage and disposal, including maintaining temperature logs.
• Cook is responsible for preparing meals and snacks for children with special dietary needs
• Maintain children’s allergy list regularly.
• Weekly ordering and receiving all food supplies and replenishing dishware and cookware
• Follow food portioning guidelines and maintain appropriate food inventory
• Complies with all health regulations and the company’s best practices
• Upkeep kitchen cleaning schedule, including dishwashing, daily, weekly, and monthly duties
• Occasionally required to prepare food for field trips, school-age programs, and community events.
• Duties and responsibilities may change from time to time on the needs of the daycare centers.

Who You Are

Required :

• High School diploma/GED equivalency required
• Valid driver's license and a clean driver’s abstract.
• Current Food Handler Certification or willing to get
• Clear background checks and up-to-date health assessments.
• Ability to push, pull and lift to 45 pounds
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to take initiative and problem-solve effectively.

Preferred

• Experience working with vulnerable populations
• Experience working with children.
