Job summary

Inspire Early Education is hiring cooks in Saint Peters, MO to support daily meal preparation in our kitchens and classrooms. You will cook, bake, and prepare meals and snacks for children, while ensuring safe storage, temperature logs, and adherence to health regulations.

This role also covers ordering supplies, portion control, inventory, cleaning schedules, and occasional meals for field trips and events. We value teamwork, reliability, and initiative in a busy daycare setting.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Current Food Handler Certification or willingness to obtain one.
• Clear background checks and up-to-date health assessments.
• Ability to push, pull and lift to 45 pounds.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to take initiative and problem-solve effectively.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for cooking, baking, and food preparation.
• Ensure safe food storage and disposal, including temperature logs.
• Prepare meals and snacks for children with special dietary needs.
• Maintain children's allergy list regularly.
• Weekly ordering and receiving all food supplies and replenishing dishware and cookware.
• Follow food portioning guidelines and maintain inventory.
• Complies with health regulations and company best practices.
• Upkeep kitchen cleaning schedule including dishwashing daily, weekly and monthly duties.
• Occasionally prepare food for field trips, school-age programs and community events.
• Duties may change to meet the needs of daycare centers.

Who You Are
