Job summary

US Foods seeks Warehouse Team Members to safely select orders and build palletized shipments. You will operate an electric pallet jack, perform pre-shift checks, and move products to docks with precision and speed.

Night shifts Sunday–Thursday may be required; candidates should have recent experience in physically demanding roles and comfort with order selecting software and equipment.

Qualifications

• Must read and communicate in English to attend trainings and safety coaching.
• Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, Sundays-Thursdays; weekends/holidays may be required.
• Recent experience in high endurance or highly physical activity is preferred.
• Experience selecting large-scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center is preferred.
• Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately select customer orders.
• Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly productivity and accuracy standards.
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks and operate an electric pallet.
• Move products from racks to pallets using order selecting software and equipment.
• Validate correct product and check for damage.
• Deliver pallets to the correct dock area and shrink wrap as needed.
• Team to clear aisles, remove empty pallets, and return pallet jacks to charging area.

Main Ingredients of the Job

• Safely and accurately select customer orders.
• Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy.
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet.
• Carefully move products from racks to pallets directed by order selecting software and equipment.
• Validate that correct product has been selected and is damage free.
• Efficiently deliver products to correct dock area and shrink wraps palletized orders.
• Team up to clear aisles of debris, stacks empty pallets from slots in aisle and return pallet jacks to charging area.

What You Bring to the Table

• Must be able to read and communicate in the English language such as to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, read labels, and enter information on reports if needed.
• Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday - Thursday. At times weekends and holidays will required.
• Recent experience (within past 6 months) in high endurance or highly physical activity or role preferred e.g. lifting/transferring patients, sports/fitness, farming, construction work, etc.
• Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred.
• Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment preferred.

Physical Requirements

Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees required.

Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively; moving 1,000+ cases of product during each shift required.
