Job summary

US Foods is seeking Warehouse Team Members to safely pick customer orders, build pallets, and prepare orders for dock delivery in a fast-paced, multi-temperature environment.

Compensation depends on experience; base rate is between $24.27 and $27.85 per hour with a $5,000 retention bonus. Overtime, shift differential, and other incentives apply. Typical schedule is Sunday–Thursday with 6:00 p.m. start and 40–45 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and communicate in English to attend trainings and read reports.
• Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday-Thursday; weekends/holidays may be required.
• Recent experience in high-endurance or highly physical activity is preferred.
• Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center.
• Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely and accurately select customer orders and build pallets to weekly productivity standards.
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet jack.
• Move products from racks to pallets directed by order selection software.
• Validate correct product and damage-free condition before delivery to dock.
• Deliver palletized orders to the correct dock area and shrink wrap as needed.
• Team to clear aisles, remove debris, and return pallets to charging area.

As applicable, this role will also receive overtime compensation, retention bonus, incentive compensation based on productivity and quality, shift differential, and freezer premium.

Schedule:

• Sunday - Thursday
• 6:00 p.m. start time
• 8-12 hour shifts
• Avg. 40-45 hours per week

Main Ingredients of the Job

• Safely and accurately select customer orders. Build and wrap pallets to meet weekly standards for productivity and accuracy
• Perform pre-shift equipment checks and safely operate an electric pallet
• Carefully move products from racks to pallets directed by order selecting software and equipment
• Validate that correct product has been selected and is damage free
• Efficiently deliver products to correct dock area and shrink wraps palletized orders
• Team up to clear aisles of debris, stacks empty pallets from slots in aisle and return pallet jacks to charging area

Physical Requirements

• Comfortable working in a multi-temperature environment ranging from -5 degrees to over 100 degrees required
• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively; moving 1,000+ cases of product during each shift required

What You Bring to the Table

• Must be able to read and communicate in the English language such as to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job-related coaching, read labels, and enter information on reports if needed
• Able to work 8+ hour night shifts, typically Sunday - Thursday. At times weekends and holidays will required
• Recent experience (within past 6 months) in high endurance or highly physical activity or role preferred e.g. lifting/transferring patients, sports/fitness, farming, construction work, etc.
• Experience selecting large scale orders in a warehouse or distribution center environment preferred
• Experience operating motorized pallet jack or similar equipment preferred
