Job summary

Medical City Weatherford is seeking a Registered Nurse for the operating room to evaluate patients pre-operatively and educate patients and families about procedures and post-operative care.

The role requires ACLS/BCLS within 30 days, an Associate Degree, and RN licensure. You will work with a dynamic interdisciplinary team, ensuring patient safety and adherence to standard peri-operative processes.

Qualifications

• ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• BCLS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN - Registered Nurse required.
• Associate Degree required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and peri-operative process.
• Prepare patient including intravenous therapy, preoperative medications, and surgical site verification.
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care with evidence-based practices.
