Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA is seeking a registered nurse to join our operating room team. You will evaluate patients prior to surgery, educate families, and ensure safety through adherence to universal protocols.

This full-time, on-site role emphasizes patient-centered care and collaboration with surgeons, nurses, and surgical technologists. A valid RN license plus ACLS, BLS, and PALS within 30 days of start are required or obtained.

Qualifications

• RN license required within hiring timeline.
• ACLS, BLS and PALS must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Associate or Bachelors degree in nursing or RN diploma.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education surrounding the procedure and perioperative process.
• Prepare patient including intravenous therapy and preoperative medications.
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Recognize and respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care with evidence-based practices.
• Be an integral member of an interdisciplinary team.
• Apply nursing process, critical thinking, and leadership to deliver safe care.
• Assess patient condition, monitor, and document changes.
• Educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and follow-up.
