Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, GA seeks a Registered Nurse for its Children’s OR PRN role. You will assess patients, educate families, and prepare patients with IV therapy and perioperative medications, ensuring safety and quality care.

You will participate in surgical site verifications, coordinate with surgeons and staff, and respond to emergencies while delivering evidence-based nursing care in a fast-paced OR setting.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.
• RN license (Registered Nurse).
• Bachelor's, Diploma, or Associate degree in nursing.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients prior to surgery.
• Provide patient and family education about the procedure and peri-operative process.
• Prepare patients including IV therapy, preoperative meds, and surgical site verification.
• Participate in surgical site verification and universal protocols.
• Respond to patient emergencies.
• Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care with evidence-based practices.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to support care and workflow.
• Apply nursing process, critical thinking, and leadership in patient care.
• Assess patient condition and document changes during shift.
