Job summary

Steffes in Dickinson, ND is seeking a skilled welder to join our manufacturing team. You will operate welding tools, read drawings and heat numbers, and follow weld procedures to meet customer requirements. You may assist with basic robot operation and daily TPM tasks, with overtime as needed.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and quality; you will report issues, align parts, and participate in our Kanban system while supporting our core objectives.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Combination of welding certification(s) and/or experience preferred.
• Basic computer knowledge (Windows, email, internet).
• Basic math skills and reading skills for instructional and technical information.

Responsibilities

• Operate various welding tools and hand tools (die grinders, angle grinders).
• Read drawings, blueprints, and heat numbers as applicable.
• Follow standard work, training guides, weld procedures, and acceptance criteria.
• May perform basic robot operation: loading/unloading parts, starting/stopping robot, TPM tasks.
• Report inconsistencies or defects in material, product, or equipment.
• Make adjustments to fab parts to achieve proper alignment.
• Follow Kanban system requirements and build boards.
