Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join our Surgical Services Team at Baptist Medical Center Downtown in Jacksonville, FL. This is a full-time day shift position with flexibility for weekends and holidays and participation in the required call rotation.

As a Surgical Technologist, you will support surgeons and the OR team by maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring safe, efficient surgical procedures.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, organize, and maintain a sterile field for operative procedures.
• Anticipate the surgeon's needs and prepare instruments.
• Ensure proper handling and disposition of surgical specimens and instruments.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety.
• Participate in the required call rotation.
