Job summary

Ardent is seeking a day shift, full-time Certified Surgical Tech (CST) in Claremore, OK to support operations at Hillcrest Hospital Claremore.

As part of the surgical team you will prepare the operating room, anticipate surgeon needs, maintain sterile fields, and assist under RN supervision.

We require graduation from an accredited CST program, a high school diploma, and BLS certification within 14 days; preferred NBSTSA/NCCT certification and one year of experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Certified Surgical Technology Program.
• High School diploma or GED.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the operating room with necessary instruments, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures.
• Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and work closely with the circulating nurse.
• Terminally clean the operating room after each procedure and restock supplies.
• Under the direction of a registered nurse, carry out all scrub duties as outlined in the department procedure manual.
• Create and maintain a sterile field and provide instruments to the surgeon.
