Hillcrest HealthCare System in Tulsa, OK is seeking a General Surgery Medical Assistant for day shift, full-time work. The MA provides clinical support under physician supervision, handles patient intake, vitals, and documentation in an EMR environment, and participates in routine clinic operations.

Responsibilities include charting history, facilitating referrals, maintaining supplies, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. Travel may be required to support clinic needs.

Formación

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic EMR and MS Office knowledge required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire.
• Preferred CMA or RMA certification.

Responsabilidades

• Enter, maintain, and report medical history, coding and claims using EMR.
• Greet patients, escort to exam room, take vital signs and support visits.
• Sterilize instruments and disinfect exam rooms; ensure privacy and comfort.
• Maintain inventory and stock supplies for all exam rooms.
• Process inventory paperwork and review orders for completeness.
• Coordinate referrals and insurance authorizations; liaise with pharmacies, hospitals, and labs.
• Travel may be required to meet clinic needs.
