Job summary

Edgewater Federal Solutions, Inc. is seeking skilled IT professionals to support critical operations at a major National Laboratory. Responsibilities include vulnerability remediation, incident handling, and continuous monitoring across thousands of systems to minimize downtime and protect mission-critical services.

The team supports the 24x7x365 SOC, performs testing, documentation, and knowledge transfer, and collaborates on service improvements. Day shift available; candidates must be a U.S.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Active DOE Security Clearance required.
• 2+ years of relevant IT support experience.
• Experience supporting Windows, Mac, and Linux desktop environments.
• Ability to obtain/maintain DOE clearance.
• Proficient with MS Office and PC hardware basics.
• Typing speed of 35 WPM or greater.
• Willingness to cover day shift; 24/7 environment availability.

Responsibilities

• Monitor hardware, network, server resources and services for integrity and availability.
• Respond to incidents, manage tickets, and provide updates and follow-ups.
• Remediate vulnerabilities and provide advanced deskside support for Windows, Mac, and Linux.
• Perform testing and analysis for vulnerabilities and infrastructure solutions.
• Create knowledge articles using KCS and transfer to teams.
• Participate in data center stewardship and after-hours support for the Help Desk.
• Support deployment testing and contribute to service/process improvements.
• Lead and support strategic IT initiatives and projects.
