Job summary

Workday Government is seeking a SOC Analyst to support US federal contracts. You will perform 24x7 security monitoring, triage alerts, and conduct initial investigations using SIEM tools like Splunk.

This role is ideal early in SOC career with strong analytical thinking and a desire to grow in cybersecurity operations; prior clearance TS/SCI w/CI Poly preferred; on-site work in the DMV area may be required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in IT, cybersecurity, or related technical field.
• Experience working with SIEM tools such as Splunk.
• Understanding of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S).
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24x7 security monitoring, alert triage, and initial investigation of security events.
• Analyze alerts from SIEM tools (e.g., Splunk) and determine impact; escalate when necessary.
• Follow established playbooks and develop investigative skills and technical depth.
• May be required to be on site at client locations in the DC/MD/VA DMV area.
