Job summary

Vigor Marine Group seeks an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee Day Shift craft workers, plan daily production, and coordinate staffing to meet safety, quality, and schedule targets.

You will partner with Project Managers to generate executable plans, support process improvements, and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies. This role reports to Operations leadership and may require coordinating with multiple departments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; AA degree or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum three years of supervisory experience in heavy manufacturing or marine industry.
• Experience with shipyard production procedures, government regulations, and safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for a daily production plan and providing tools, drawings, materials and leadership to execute work safely.
• Ensure compliance with company, governmental and environmental regulations to maintain a safe environment.
• Lead supervisors to resolve issues and remove barriers to complete work on plan.
• Identify external labor resources when needed to support project execution.
• Manage employee performance and document performance issues.
• Assure quality metrics for craft-specific work are met.
• Conduct supervisor orientation and 30/90 day evaluations for new hires.
• Ensure workers are trained and schedules/timekeeping are accurate.
• Maintain up-to-date OJT books for advancement; post requisitions and participate in hiring.
• Promote PPE use and safety analysis; enforce OSHA and safety policies.
• Coordinate scopes and priorities with Craft Supervisors; implement CPI initiatives.
