Job summary

Lowe’s Companies, Inc. is hiring a Senior Operations Manager to oversee store operations flow, supervise Operations Supervisors, and ensure safe, efficient movement of inventory. You will forecast production volume, allocate resources, and communicate objectives to leadership to meet KPIs and budget targets.

The role requires leading change, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and driving process improvements while mentoring staff and maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Transportation, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement
• 3 years experience in distribution center operations or related area (or 7 years with increasing responsibilities if education requirement not met)
• Leadership experience with direct report responsibility, including leading salary level direct reports
• Experience mentoring and coaching others
• Experience leading a team through change
• Experience managing resources, time and budgets
• Experience using troubleshooting processes to resolve problems
• Experience leading others through change in a Corporate-led initiative or Lowe’s supply chain network facility

Responsibilities

• Identify and resolve safety issues on the floor and notify appropriate parties
• Complete safety observations and promote a culture of safety
• Determine daily workload and monitor inventory movements throughout the day
• Evaluate staffing needs and adjust personnel to meet priorities
• Communicate business objectives and workload plans to supervisors and leadership
• Report on KPIs to upper management and Corporate
• Set up supervisors for success to meet KPIs, safety, and budget targets
• Collaborate with other shifts to ensure consistent processes
• Coordinate with Support Managers to meet customer needs and staffing plans
• Lead process improvements or new corporate initiatives
• Assist associates with HR-related questions and issues
• Attract and hire talented individuals for the team
• Set clear expectations and provide feedback
• Monitor associate performance and support development
• Lead associates through change
• Ensure effective communication of objectives and issues to associates
