Job summary

Lowe's Companies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Operations Manager to oversee the flow of product and daily store operations. You will supervise Operations Supervisors, manage safety, staffing and budget targets, and partner with corporate for workload planning to meet store demand.

You will drive KPI performance, escalate complex issues, and provide leadership development opportunities for the team, ensuring effective communication with senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 3 years experience in distribution center operations or 7 years of experience in distribution center/warehouse operations or related area with increasing responsibilities if education requirement not met
• Leadership experience with direct report responsibility, including leading salary level direct reports
• Experience mentoring and coaching others
• Experience leading a team through change
• Experience managing resources, time and budgets
• Experience using troubleshooting processes to resolve problems
• Experience leading corporate-led initiatives or leadership experience in another Lowe’s supply chain network facility

Responsibilities

• Identifies and resolves safety issues on the floor and notifies the appropriate party for resolution
• Completes safety observations and builds a culture of safety in the work environment
• Partners with corporate and support functions to determine the daily workload and ensure inventory movements are monitored
• Evaluates staffing needs to meet daily demand and adjust personnel accordingly
• Communicates objectives, safety issues, and daily workload to supervisors and leadership
• Reports on key performance metrics to upper management and Corporate
• Sets supervisors up for success to meet KPI, safety, performance and budget targets
• Collaborates with other shifts to ensure consistent processes and expectations
• Collaborates cross-functionally to ensure proper communication and staffing plans
• Identifies bottlenecks and implements process improvements or changes from Corporate
• Assists associates with HR questions and concerns related to attendance, pay, benefits, and workers’ accommodations
• Attracts and hires talented individuals for the team and provides feedback and development opportunities
